Do search engines show web sites with different country codes?
I’ve tried looking this up but couldn’t find an answer. In more detail, I’m wondering if I were to buy a domain name with say, a .sy code – which is for Syria I believe, if people using Yahoo or Google in the US or any other country will be able to find it.
I live in the United states, I have already found an available domain name with the .sy extension.
I’m just wondering if Google or Yahoo will show my website in the search results if someone were to search under normal conditions in the US.
You should get into contact with a Internet/Domain Server Provider in Syria or contact with one of them if you are away and repeat the same question to them. Because in most countries only *.com domain names can be given. I am not sure if *.sy used extension is beeing used or not.
