Avoid buying a domain name that has got problems before hand, why make the same mistake I made. This will make marketing a lot more easier. This article shows you how to avoid getting problematic domain names beforehand.
I have seen the woes of buying a bad domain name and winnings of getting a newly-born good one.
Just because a domain name is available does not mean it has got no history behind it. For example; the domain name,”digicamsonline.com” when bought made alot of marketing sense to me. Unknown to me was its history before being dropped by whoever it was that owned it 3 years ago, until huge bookmarking sites like Digg, Reddit & Mixx tagged the site as being “invalid”. Invalid? How would a 2-days-old website have done such damage in such a short space of time? Well, the site was alot older than I thought.
An immediate search in google soon answered all the questions as it was listed as part of several domains that have expired in community sites. Perhaps before it kicked the bucket, it left several “messes” for me to clean (which I did verily well). All the troubles I had to go through could have been averted if only a search for the domain name was done BEFORE the purchase was made.
Don’t let history re-write itself. Avoid falling in the same unnecessary mess as I did by making a google search for the desired domain name before buying it. This will definitely make marketing alot more easier.
