domain name search popularity
on what basis domain name is priced?

i analysed domain names on few domain name appraisals [estibot / leapfish / etc]

but auctions on sedo / afternic is completely diff they offer high price to age of domains [only age i feel]
rather than links / popularity / searches etc what is the use in buying such names

i saw sex888.com ~9000$ @sedo

i may buy sex887.com = 8.95$ [ i feel a scam like]

any body bought & sold domains also write pls.

The operative phrase is “supply and demand”. people chase names that sound like the name of their business or product. Some go for keywords to help their search engine rankings.
I would not purchase a domain name under any circumstances. It’s just another form of “scalping” (Buying ball game tickets with the purpose of selling them at a higher price on the day of the match) and scalping is banned in my country. If nobody purchased domain names, the people who speculate with them would stop buying them also.

sex887.com may mean something to you, but it means nothing to me or probably to anyone else for that matter. What’s wrong with sex-887.com? it’s currently free. Visit this site and chuck in a few ideas. You’ll eventually find something you don’t have to pay for (registration excluded). http://www.checkdomain.com/
Good luck
