I just made a website on publisher, I am going to upload it to geocities, when I do this and it is on the Internet, should I be able to search for it on Google and find it? Do I have to buy a domain name, because I want this to all be free, PLEASE HELP!!
you will be assigned a name by geocities using you id for example www.geocities.com/your-Yahoo!-ID .
If however you want your own domain name you can by one reasonably cheap and forward visitors to your own domain name.
To add you site to google manually add it for free to the main search engines using the link below or wait and they will find it eventually when crawling.
